On A Mission For God…and Duct Tape

COMPASSIONHEADER

After sponsoring 8-year-Old Kleys Morales for the past two years, I had a dream where God was leading me to visit Guatamala to do His work.

In November, we found out that Compassion International had a sponsor tour to Guatemala in July 2013. Kayt was immediately interested in going and began making duck tape shoes to sell as a fundraiser.  It was an answer to prayer and we tried to see if there were open spots. Unfortunately, the trip was full…until recently.

A week ago, we received a letter explaining that two spots had recently opened up if we would be interesting in going.  We prayed and felt God’s leading for Kayt and me to say yes!!!

In order for us to go, we have to trust God to provide in the amount of $4,600 by March 26.

Yes, just a few short weeks to raise nearly $5,000.  [Update … as of March 18, we are at 35% of our funds raised, and trusting God to provide the remainder!  NEWER Update … as of 4/3/13 we are at 97% of funds raised!!!]

Our hope is that you would be willing to partner with us to raise the funds necessary for us to be a part of something bigger than us.  Something that will allow Kayt to be able to use her servant’s heart and get a taste of God’s greatness while working to fight poverty, in Jesus’ name.

If that is you, we ask not only for you to consider a financial donation of any kind, but to join us in prayer as we follow God’s leading to go.

To make a donation, you can either click HERE to donate via PayPal to sraquel@iovmedia.com or send us a check by March 20th made out to Compassion International with “Steph and Kayt Raquel” in the memo line and send to our home address. If you need that, please e-mail stephraquel {at AOL -dot- com}

Our prayer is that 100 of our friends would give a one time gift of $50 so that we can meet our goal by the 26th.  Would you consider it?

Thank you in advance for your friendship and consideration of our request.  We look forward to seeing what God has in store and how he will provide.
