How I said #YesToGod

I wanted to post last week while I was out of town, but thought the better of it and decided to focus on my sweet family and the chance to pop by the Proverbs 31 Ministries office and greet Melissa Taylor and Lisa Allen!

I thought of writing about saying #YestoGod when I:

* moved to Salt Lake City and knew nobody except my husband (but God totally blessed our time there!)

* accepted a role as Director of Women’s Ministry in my church, leading women of faith during a crazy season of raising three young girls

* agreed to date the guy who later became my husband, knowing he was my best friend and it might totally ruin our friendship (but now we’ll celebrate 20 years this fall!)

And maybe at some point during this study, I will write more on those times. But all this past week, I can’t stop thinking about the time when I most recently said Yes to God … making the trek to Guatemala with Compassion International, just a month ago this week! I blogged about our story there and wanted to share it as part of this week’s Online Bible Study Blog Hop as well because it definitely fits in with this week’s lesson from Lysa Terkeurst’s book, What Happens When Women Say Yes to God!

Here’s the post … enjoy!
